The Pressure
01:42
|
|
||
you can’t choose the body that you are born into
or the one with whom you fall in love
yet that is what these dunces seem to be demanding
don’t lose yourself under this pressure of suppression
the wave of ignorance and indiscretion
too many know-it-alls, not enough understanding
can’t imagine why or how anyone would disallow
someone the chance for happiness
or for love to be received or expressed
no one but yourself gets to decide
how and in which company you spend your life
no one but yourself gets to decide
what makes sense to you and what feels right
no one but yourself gets to decide what feels right

Isolated Actions
03:17
|
|
||
only fight the battles that are worth your time
why compete if you don’t care about the prize?
you have to organize your dreams
‘cause eight hours never seem
to be enough to see them all through
there’s an emptiness you try to fill
by pouring substances inside of you until
it starts to overflow
you feel drained, that’s how you know
you need a new substance in your life
‘cause what’s a life without passion?
a false projection
and what’s a life without friendship?
a misdirection
what’s a life without love or without affection?
a finite group of isolated actions
what could have been will never be
unless you let go of your insecurity
stop thinking in the past tense
if you want to make some sense
in the cycle of unavoidable accidents that is this life

Dandelion
02:17

|

Every negative experience
Is a brick you use to built up your defense
If you make the walls thick enough you’ll run out of space to move
Every opportunity denied
another bad memory you store inside
When it hurts the most take it as a reminder
As proof that you’re alive
Can’t you see?
You’re a dandelion sticking through concrete
just waiting for a breeze of fresh air
Can’t you see?
You’re a dandelion sticking through concrete
One day the wind will carry you somewhere you can thrive
You don’t have to be tough
You can let go of the weight on your chest
And still be good enough
You don’t have to disclaim your descent
You can face your challenges
With your eyes wide open, feeling confident
Knowing that you’re strong
Can’t you see?
You’re a dandelion sticking through concrete
just waiting for a breeze of fresh air
Can’t you see?
You’re a dandelion sticking through concrete
One day the wind will carry you somewhere you were destined all along
Take this as a reminder that you’re alive
Take this as a reminder that you are strong
Take this as a reminder that you’re alive
Take this as a reminder that you are, have been and will be good enough

Worthwhile
02:20

I’m sure you think that someone already wrote this song back in 1994
and I probably can’t tell you anything you haven’t heard before
I won’t reinvent the wheel
but I’ll restore the feeling I seem to lose from time to time
and if I can make my slumber end
and maybe even you, my friend, to hum along or crack a smile
it’s all worthwhile
this song won’t change the world, it won’t go down in history
and frankly I don’t mind
as long as I feel that this is fun and rewarding
more than just a waste of time
